Welder – Fabricator

Spare Parts Specialist, Inc. in Tyrone, Georgia is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for the 1st shift,

Mon-Fri. Overtime as needed.

Salary: $19 – $26/HR depending on experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in MIG welding
Proficient in setup and production welding
High School Diploma or GED
Able to read and interpret blueprints
Able to use inspection equipment such as tape measures, protractors, & calipers

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities
:

Setup welding machinery and fixturing to weld assemblies
Operate machinery as directed to make quality parts within specific tolerances
Load and unload parts from fixtures
Inspect parts and make changes to machinery or fixturing to assure correct tolerance of parts being made.
Produce good quality parts with a scrap rate of less than 2%
Operate overhead crane for large parts & fixtures
Create/Design simple fixtures as needed to hold parts
Change/Inspect tooling as needed
Inspect/ Deburr parts and assemblies
Interpret manufacturing drawings and setup instructions
Keep area clean and organized to 5S standards
Clean and maintain machinery at the end of each shift
Perform common household task to maintain a clean workplace to include sweeping floors, cleaning walls, throwing the trash, etc.
Maintain equipment as directed by supervisor
Use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and dollies to bring products and materials to an appropriate location
Provide a common set of hand tools to use in work cell as needed. Provide safety shoes

Eye protection and safety shoes must always be worn on the shop floor.
