Welder

Job Description:

Weld tubes and assemblies as required

Assist Man-up Crane operator in loading/moving material

Job Duties:

Use hand grinders, needle chippers and other powered hand tools

Read and interpret drawings

Hand grinders weight 6 pounds, may use 10-15 minutes per weld. Needle chippers weight 5 pounds, may use 10-15 minutes per weld. They vibrate while it is on: you must hold the handle down for the needle chippers to run. Welder weights about 6 – 10 pounds, may use 10-15 minutes per weld.

Tools Required:

Welding equipment, needle chippers, grinder, any other tool needed for the job

Physical Qualifications:

Must be able to lift/push/pull/bend up to 50 lbs

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb and walk for extended periods of time

Must be able to work in all types of temperatures

Must have some computer skills

Must be able to read Blue prints

PPE Requirements:

Ear Protection, Steel toe shoes, Safety Glasses and/or goggles, Hard Hat, Welding PPE, Gloves to fit the job, Face shield for grinding.
