Immediate opening. Waukesha area. $20-$30/hr starting wage based on experience and weld test. Great benefits. Will work 5:30 AM- 3:45 PM (Mon- Thursday). Will work some Fridays for OT when needed. Lots of 4 day work weeks.
JOB SUMMARY: Identify and repair weld defects on various sizes of castings made from various grades of steel, iron and bronze using electric welders. Blend weld deposits with assorted hand held pneumatic grinders to match casting contours and shapes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Identify casting defects
· Remove defect through grinding or arc gauging
· Repair defect in accordance with documented weld procedure
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
QUALIFICATIONS
Individual must be able to pass standard industry weld tests in various alloys and weld techniques.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School or GED education with 3 – 5 years welding experience or advanced education in welding from a technical or trade school
