Structural Steel Fitter / Welder

Spokane Metals LLC, a structural and misc. steel fabrication shop has an immediate need for an experienced structural steel fitter/welder.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Fit steel assemblies including columns, beams, canopies, stairs and other miscellaneous assemblies per shop drawings.
Preheat and/or cut workpieces using a hand torch (plasma) when required.
Operate forklifts, jib cranes and overhead cranes in order to move materials.
Keep work area clean

Qualifications:

Must be WABO or AWS certified or be able to get certified. (Internal AWS certification is available at no cost)
Must be able to read and interpret shop drawings and weld symbols.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Experience using hand-measurement tools is preferred.
High School diploma/GED preferred.
Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic computations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
Identify shop drawing errors and discrepancies before or during early stages of fabrication.
Must be in excellent physical condition and be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Knowledge on using OH Crane and forklift experience a plus.
Experience in CJP welds/fit up.
Candidates must have their own tools and reliable transportation.

Salary:
Depends on Experience
Sign on Bonus of $300 after 90 day probational period
