Senior Product Develop Associate Lead

Position Overview:

Navistar Has a great opportunity for a
Senior Product Development Associate Lead to support outside customer test programs and instrumentation activities on internal Navistar test programs.

This position will be first shift working onsite at our test track and proving grounds located in New Carlisle, IN.
Responsibilities:

Will work closely with instrumentation laboratory and outside test engineers to support a wide range of vehicle build and validation activities at the Navistar Proving Grounds
Prepare, maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, and test prototype and current production vehicles. Primarily but not limited to class 3-8 trucks
Perform all job duties safely and efficiently with minimal supervision, as well as maintain detailed and accurate documentation, and consistently keep work areas clean and organized
Be involved in testing activities for both Navistar and outside customers supporting both existing and emerging technologies across the transportation industry
Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree
At least 6 years of experience supporting engineering activities

OR

At least 8 years of experience supporting engineering activities
Additional Requirements:

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills:

Mechanical and technical experience working on vehicles, preferably medium and heavy duty commercial vehicles.
Knowledge of suspension, steering, and braking (including ADAS driver assist) components and systems
Ability to perform vehicle tests by following detailed test procedures
Perform vehicle instrumentation installation services using thermocouples, pressure transducers and accelerometers.
Diagnostic capability and repair of all major vehicle systems
Ability to read and follow electrical schematics
Ability to read and perform diagnostic troubleshooting procedures
Metal fabrication skills including welding, forming, assembly, and repair
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Competent with using a computer along with MS Office apps (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), diagnostic software familiarity a plus
