Retailer/Barista

Barista/Retailer Responsibilities:
You will be successful in this role if you’re ready to:

Gives great first impressions by promptly greeting and creating meaningful connections with everyone who walks through our doors
Preps batches for retail counter by following drink job aides
Prepares all drinks for retail and dining room
Has full knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, and retail items. Is able to use knowledge to sell items and make educated suggestions to our guests.
Understands the value of speedy service
Properly bags, boxes, and arranges to‐go food and pastries
Maintains and consolidates pastry display throughout the day
Handles sales transactions at retail counter. Follows Le Pain Quotidien cash handling policy
Responsible for answering the phone with proper etiquette; takes orders over the phone
Handles any complaints with genuine concern and elevates to manager when necessary
Completes all opening, mid, and closing procedures; responsible for restocking and completing waste log
Follows and completes Le Pain Quotidien cleaning and food safety checklists to ensure proper food handling.
Keeps all areas of the restaurant clean and organized by following cleaning checklists.

Barista/Retailer Requirements:

1 to 3 months of related restaurant experience or training
Flexibility in schedule with the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and evenings
Experience with Toast (POS system) is a plus
