Mechanic

We are seeking a mechanic at our Mattaponi manufacturing facility. If you are skilled mechanic and want to work in a production facility where you use your mechanical aptitude to regularly inspect, maintain and repair all mobile and stationary production equipment, this offer is for you!

Your future role

Provide mechanical troubleshooting, modification suggestions or repair to high-speed manufacturing processes by planning and following through a sequence of tasks
Operate a variety of equipment to assemble parts according to specifications, work orders, drawings or blueprints
Interact with corporate engineers for any necessary assistance
Check completed work for conformance to specifications
Adhere to all safety requirements
Keep equipment in safe operating condition
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Help train and direct temporary team members, including providing assistance regarding techniques, processes and procedures
Work independently and multitask within a fast-paced environment
Work indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions

Required skills

Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Three years’ mechanical experience
Experience working with electrical
Knowledge of welding and application experience
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Team spirit
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
Ability to foresee and respond to potentially dangerous situations
