Job Description:
The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the guest rooms and surrounding corridors. The housekeeper is also responsible to accommodate every guest’s reasonable needs and requests with a courteous response in order to create their stay comfortable.
Detail Job Requirements:
Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate.
Clean guest rooms and public areas.
Make beds neatly with fresh linens.
Pick up trash from the floor and vacuum.
Empties trash from waste cans.
Clean mirrors. Wipe shelves, doorframes, and furniture with a damp cloth. Dust light fixtures, windowsills, and baseboards. Arrange furniture properly.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms (scrubbing basin, bathtub, toilet, and tile floor).
Replenish appropriate supplies in rooms and place clean towels on the rack.
Vacuum each room and hallway.
Report any discrepancies in furniture, equipment, and room condition.
Must be responsible for the security of guests, fellow employees, and hotel assets.
Necessary Skills:
Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
Able to work a flexible schedule. May require to work weekends and holidays.
Must be organized, honest, and works well with others.
Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person.
Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
