A national utilities company located just on the edge of Philadelphia is currently looking for an IT Security Analyst II. This company, like many others, is expanding their security team as their footprint continues to expand. They are nationally recognized for providing clean energy to local residents and businesses alike. You’ll have the ability to join an established security department that is using the latest and most cutting edge technology. They pride themselves on putting security at the forefront and are now looking to expand their team.
This position will be primarily responsible for monitoring for risks and vulnerabilities. With an overarching goal of protecting the company and customer’s valuable information, this role will be entrusted to locate any risks posed and help mitigate them. SIEM will be a huge part of the day to day operation as well as DLP and email security with O365. Familiarity with networking is a huge plus and will go a long way in understanding what exactly it is that you’d be securing. With any expanding security program, the transition into the cloud environment has already begun. Anyone with major cloud provider experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) would be suitable for this role. This position is offering a hybrid model with 2 days a month on site so local candidates are encouraged to apply. Required Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years’ previous experience as a cyber security professional
- Experience monitoring and analyzing security events (SIEM, DLP, Incident response)
- Knowledge of security best practices including policy and procedures
- Phishing education
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Relevant security certifications
- Cloud experience (AWX, Azure, Google)
- Cloud certifications
