As the CNC Programmer on first shift, you will be creating and editing CNC programs to support the machining of complex, precision metal components on multi-axis CNC milling machines and multi-tasking machining centers.

Essential Responsibilities:
Generate CNC programming and participate in cultivating manufacturing techniques to help reduce part cost and increasing part quality.
Materials and tooling selection, procurement, and set up to meet component manufacturing needs.
Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements.
Collaborate with the Drawing, Production and Engineering team to optimize efficiency.
Verify manufacturing routings and communicate any required changes to Process Planning.
Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
Perform welding or other mechanical assembly work when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC programmer preferably working in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, grinders etc.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
Experience in welding or mechanical assembly will be considered a plus.
Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurements.
Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials.
Strong ability to perform both at an individual level as well as a part of a team.
