Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to pass a test welding in the 6G position
Ability to lift at least 45 pounds
Ability to work in a dusty environment
Responsibilities:
Cleaning and preparing surfaces to be welded
Performing welding processes on aluminum, steel, and other metal parts using welding metals and metal alloys
Working from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions
Welding parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
Using hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to weld metal components together (flat, horizontal, or vertical plates and pipes)
Performing welding in multiple positions.
Performing welding to Nondestructive Testing Quality (MT, UT)
Building up worn and/or defected surfaces
Performing addition duties as assigned at manager’s discretion
Welding test will determine position and pay scale.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
Ability to communicate and read instructions in English (Bilingualism a plus)
