Kings Town Cafe is searching for experienced candidates for the position of barista. We appreciate you taking the time to review the list of qualifications and to apply for the position. If all of the qualifications aren’t met, you may still be considered depending on your level of experience.

Responsibilities for Barista

Maintain the cleanliness of all displays, counters and seating areas, ensuring Health and Safety hazards, issues, near misses and accidents are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunity
To take responsibility of all monies whilst on shift ensuring all Profit Protection Procedures and relevant paperwork is adhered to at all times, reporting any issues to your line manager
To observe and comply with all company and unit profit protection procedures
Prepares beverages for guests and ensures they are consistent with standards
Familiarize self with menu and prices
Assist in set-up and maintaining service areas, cafe floor, and out stations in a clean, neat, and orderly manner
Act as an ambassador of the Kings Town brand in the Cafe
Other duties as directed inclusive of but not limited to serving, clearing and resetting tables as needed, dishwashing
Opportunities to fine tune skills and craft
Serve food and beverages, including, but not limited to, meals, condiments and accompaniments

Qualifications for barista

Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply
Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes
Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
Knowledgeable of coffee program
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends and holidays
