BARISTA
FoJo Beans Coffee Roasters seeks a qualified Barista – who possesses a passion for coffee – to work at our Flagship campus location, Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00am-3:00pm.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Making drinks according to protocols
Educate customers about our coffees and drinks menu
Maintains café inventories
Thoroughly perform all closing duties with student support
Keep equipment operational by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling in repairs
Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment according to health codes

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

An understanding of semi-automatic espresso machines and espresso grinders, and bar flow is essential. A professional attitude towards hospitality is essential. Working knowledge of Square POS system, or equivalent
3+ years of experience in specialty coffee and/or the coffee industry
Experience on a San Remo F-18 a plus
Extroverted and excellent communication skills
Proactive approach to problem-solving; ability to keep a calm, professional demeanor
A high degree of ethics and superior customer service
High level of organization, excellent time management skills, and ability to self-direct
Adaptability and the ability to creatively troubleshoot difficult situations
Superior leadership capabilities; ability to work well within groups
Focused perspective on what a high-functioning coffee bar looks like and how to execute that perspective
A passion for small business and quality products
Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis
Be a model barista, in terms of bar skills, customer service, and enthusiasm to share knowledge
